But something seems very wrong about this... It's as if your OS version has changed. It's a long shot, but check "About this Mac" from the Apple menu, and make sure it says 10.8.5. My other guess would be that Installer is messed up and (ironically) needs to be reinstalled.

I did think that a complete reinstall was a bit OTT but it seems to of done the trick and only took 45mins. Im sure that it was something very simple like a tick box somewhere or something or maybe a bug in OSX 10.8.5. Thank you all for you your help and suggestions. Everything is back up and running now. Maybe we should keep this thread open to see if other user experience the same problems. Thanks again.

Repair permissions and restart your computer. When you reach the desktop, instead of installing the "supplemental," install the OS X Mountain Lion Update v10.8.5 (Combo) instead. When done, again repair permissions and restart your computer.

Now that you've got the installer downloaded, you'll need to run it. The installer is a pretty typical interface - it won't take long to get through it (under a minute), even though there are a few parts to it. You can get through it by following the guide below:

The Fireworks 4.0.2 updater fixes several problems found with Fireworks 4 after its release. It also includes a fix for a bug in the batch processing feature that produces an error ifyou try to perform a batch process using Scale to Size and set either the height or widthto Variable. To resolve this problem, download and run the installer. To use the updater, you must first purchase and install a full version of Fireworks 4.

MariaDB Foundation ensures that MariaDB Server has a steady cadence of releases. Until MariaDB 10.6, MariaDB Server has had about one stable major release every year. With the new release model, there will be multiple short-term support each year, in addition to less frequent long-term support releases. The current supported versions are: 10.3, 10.4, 10.5, 10.6, 10.11 (supported for 5 years), 10.7, 10.8, 10.9, 10.10 (supported for one year), and the development version is 11.0. Each stable version receives bug-fixes and security fixes periodically.

Installing Node.js and NPM is pretty straightforward using Homebrew. Homebrew handles downloading, unpacking and installing Node and NPM on your system. The whole process (after you have XCode and Homebrew installed) should only take you a few minutes.

If you are using the Postman web client, you will need to also download the Postman desktop agent. The Postman agent overcomes the Cross Object Resource Sharing (CORS) limitations of browsers, and facilitates API request sending from your browser version of Postman. Read the blog post.

If you want to be first in line to experience new features, download our latest Canary builds available for OSX (Intel and Apple chips) / Windows (x64) / Linux (x64) for a sneak peek. Our Canary builds are designed for early adopters, and may sometimes break.

In some cases, you may need to use a locally hosted version of the AMD modules via ArcGIS CDN. An example of this is when you are working in a restricted network environment with no internet access. You can also download and install the documentation which includes the API Reference, tutorials, and samples. The documentation available for download is a snapshot from the release date of version 4.25 and will not include the latest sample updates, documentation fixes, etc.

For Linux based operating systems we use universal EETI eGalaxTouch Drivers. Most Linux operating systems are supported, including Ubuntu, Debian, SuSE(openSuSE), Fedora Core, Mandriva, Slackware and so on. You can download the appropriate driver based on your kernel version via the link below.

This tutorial will show how one performs analysis of both the audio and video in a feature-length film. It is assumed that the reader has at least some familiarity with Python or a similar coding language, i.e. Ruby, Javascript, etc. and is comfortable using the command line. These tutorials have been tested with Mac OS 10.8 and, more recently, 10.9.

This tutorial will demonstrate analysis of both the audio and video in a feature-length film using ACTION. First, we will give a high-level overview of the process, and then present detailed step-by-step instructions. It is assumed that the reader has at least some familiarity with Python or a similar coding language, i.e. Ruby, Javascript, etc. This initial version of the tutorial is based on Mac OS 10.8, but should work in earlier versions of Mac OS, as well as Windows and Linux.

For Mac OS 10.7.* and 10.8.*, we have tested the Python version supplied by Apple: 2.7.3 (as of summer 2013). Download the Python Scipy SuperPack for your OS version. Download OpenCV from opencv.org and install using CMake according to their instructions.

Finally, download fftExtract. fftExtract is a C program that is called from the command line or bash script. The features that it extracts are similar to those extracted by the feature extraction classes in the Bregman Toolkit, but runs faster.

I decided to install and play around with Pygame today, mainly as an excuse to write some Python for a minor departure from all the Javascript/Coffeescript I've been writing lately. Unfortunately the process wasn't entirely frictionless, due to Pygame not yet accounting for Apple's move to XQuartz as the recommended X11 implementation for Mac OS as of 10.8 Mountain Lion. As a result I ran into some compilation errors while Pygame was building it's native extensions, which fortunately were not too hard to fix as I had some familiarity with changes to X11 on Mountain Lion.

For Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8), it doesn't work, because my MacBook isn't supported by Mountain Lion, even though I actually want to install 10.8 on my iMac at home, so the app store won't let me buy it.

You should be able to use file linked here to download mavericks, just use "Disk Utility" to restore the ".dmg" to a usb thumb drive then boot your mac off it, then select your hard drive and then let it finish booting.

I used this to download Mavericks on a late 2006 model Mac mini with 2GB of RAM. Mavericks won't install or run on it, but I was able to use the downloaded app along with tools from the "tonymacx86.com" website to make a USB installer to install on a PC to make a customac (aka a hackintosh)

I downloaded LibreOffice 6.1.5 and installed it on macOS 10.8.5 with no problems. However, when I clicked on the app icon it gives an error message saying that it needed a minimum system requirement of macOS 10.9. But on the download page it says 10.8.

Eclipse is available as both 32-bit and 64-bit binaries. Deciding which one to download can be complex. Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), Mac OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion), Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks) Use the 64-bit Eclipse (Lion does not include a 32-bit JVM) Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Use the 64-bit Eclipse (Snow Leopard might have a 32-bit JVM, see 32-bit or 64-bit) Mac OS X 10.5 Use the 32-bit Eclipse, see 32-bit or 64-bit Once you have determined whether to use a 32-bit version of Eclipse or a 64-bit version, perform these steps:
